There’s nothing like quality time with the people you care most about, and getting away to the Gold Coast is the perfect opportunity for you to make the most of time with your family free from the distractions of home life, work, or other responsibilities. So what are the ways that you can make the best memories this Spring in Surfers Paradise? Glad you asked.

Head to Timezone and indulge in a little family competition. Race cars, shoot hoops, dance battle, see who can get the most points. Use your prize tickets to claim silly prizes, and enjoy some family fun together. There’s also a toddler/little kids play area on site, so it really is a great spot to visit for all ages.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not

Explore the weird and wacky world that is Ripley’s Believe It or Not Odditorium, where you’ll step down to discover all sorts of bizarre sights, learn facts that are hard to imagine, let alone believe, and share in the delights of all things odd with your family. Meet the world's tallest man, views shrunken heads, learn what a real life vampire hunting kit looks like and more!

If you’re up for it, you can have a go at Ripley’s Impossible Laserace. A battle against the clock, you’ll wiggle, crawl, jump, dodge and dive through the course, but make sure you don’t break the laser beams!

Skypoint Observation Deck

Head to the Q1 building in Surfers Paradise on Hamilton Avenue, one of the tallest residential buildings in the world. Step into the elevator, and shoot upwards from ground level to level 77 in just 42.7 seconds. One of the fastest elevators worldwide, and quite the way to kickstart your Skypoint experience.

As you step out onto the observation deck, you’ll be dazzled with 360 degree views from the glistening Pacific Ocean out to the Gold Coast Hinterland. The kids will love the high power binoculars available for use, and you can grab a coffee or a bite to eat to enjoy along with the view.

For those of you brave enough, you could tackle the Skypoint climb. Either a sunrise or sunset climb can be chosen. It’s Australia’s highest external building climb, and a sight and experience that you won’t soon forget. There is a 2:1 ratio required of adults to kids for this climb. You can choose just the climb itself, a photography package, or a climb and dine combo package.

iFLY Gold Coast

Not quite game to jump out of a plane, but want to experience the joy of being weightless as you fly through the air? Then indoor skydiving at iFLY Surfers Paradise is just what you’ve been looking for. Children as young as 3 can try it out, and full training is provided. They offer special family packages and options for kids. Lean into the wind in the glass tunnel and you’ll float in the air with the help of your qualified instructor.
